T&C's
Sales & Download Terms Last updated: Aug 2026.
These terms apply to any digital photographs, image downloads, prints, or other photographic products purchased through ghewitson.co.uk. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Who You Are Buying From All products available through this website are sold by G. Hewitson Photography ("the Photographer"). Any contract formed when an order is placed is between you and the Photographer. The Photographer is responsible for supplying the products, handling customer enquiries, and managing any applicable refunds or replacements. Accessing Your Purchased Images Digital photographs are usually made available immediately after payment has been successfully processed. Download instructions will be provided on-screen and/or by email. It is your responsibility to provide accurate contact information and ensure you can receive communications relating to your order. Once images have been delivered, you should download and keep your own backup copies. While reasonable efforts may be made to assist customers, the Photographer cannot guarantee indefinite storage of purchased files and may not be able to replace images lost after delivery. If you do not receive confirmation of your purchase, please check any spam, junk, or filtered email folders before getting in touch. Cancellation Rights for Digital Downloads UK consumer legislation normally provides a cooling-off period for online purchases. However, by purchasing a downloadable image and requesting immediate access, you acknowledge that delivery of the digital content will begin straight away. Once the download has been made available, your right to cancel that purchase will end in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. Faulty Files and Refund Requests Because digital image downloads cannot be returned, refunds will generally not be available once access has been granted. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. If a file is corrupted, inaccessible, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise fails to match its description, please contact the Photographer so the issue can be investigated and, where appropriate, corrected, replaced, or refunded. Artistic preferences or personal opinions regarding the appearance of a photograph do not in themselves constitute a fault. Permission to Use Purchased Images Purchasing a digital image gives you a personal licence to use that image for private purposes. You may: Save the image on your devices. Share the image through your personal social media accounts. Produce prints for yourself, family, or friends. Include the image in personal albums or displays. You may not: Sell, licence, or redistribute the image to others. Use the image for commercial gain. Incorporate the image into advertising, marketing, or promotional materials. Claim ownership of the image or the copyright. Edit the image in a way that misrepresents it or creates a misleading version of the original work. Minor personal edits, such as cropping or applying filters, are permitted provided the original work is not misrepresented. All copyright and intellectual property rights remain the property of the Photographer unless expressly transferred in writing. Contact Information If you have a question about an order or download, please contact: G. Hewitson Photography Website: https://ghewitson.co.uk Email: [email protected] Applicable Law These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with a purchase made through this website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Physical Products and Prints
From time to time, ghewitson.co.uk may offer photographic prints, framed prints, canvases, albums and other physical products. Product images are intended to provide a reasonable representation of the final item. Colours, finishes and appearance may vary slightly due to differences in screen displays, printing processes and materials.
All products are supplied subject to availability. Where an item cannot be fulfilled as ordered, the Photographer will contact you to discuss alternatives or provide a refund.
Delivery of Physical Products Physical products will be dispatched to the delivery address provided at the time of ordering. Delivery times shown on the website are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by postal services, couriers, production partners or circumstances beyond the Photographer's control shall not constitute a breach of these Terms.
Risk in the product passes to the Customer upon delivery. Ownership of the product remains with the Photographer until full payment has been received.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that delivery details are accurate. Additional charges arising from incorrect or incomplete delivery information may be passed on to the Customer.
Returns, Refunds and Damaged Goods If a physical product arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from the item ordered, the Customer must notify the Photographer within 14 days of receipt and, where requested, provide photographs showing the issue. Where a fault is confirmed, the Photographer may, at their discretion: Replace the product; Repair the product where appropriate; Offer a full or partial refund.
As photographic prints and products are typically made to order and personalised, they are generally exempt from the standard consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Unless required by law, returns or refunds will not be offered for:
*.Ordering the wrong image, size or product option;
*.Changes of mind after production has commenced;
*.Minor colour variations resulting from differences in screen calibration;
or Normal variations inherent in photographic printing processes.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
