Hi there!

Gordon Hewitson

Sports & Landscape Photographer Specialising in grassroots sport and the local landscape, my photography is rooted in a documentary approach that captures authentic moments and the unique character of the communities I work within. From weekend sporting action to the changing beauty of the local countryside, I focus on telling real stories through natural, unscripted imagery. Working primarily in colour, with selected black and white images where the story benefits, I create photographs that celebrate passion, dedication, atmosphere, and place. Observation rather than direction remains at the heart of my work, allowing genuine moments to unfold naturally and develop into compelling visual narratives. Through both sporting and landscape photography, I aim to showcase the people, places, and traditions that make our local area unique, creating lasting images that reflect its spirit, heritage, and sense of community.
